On a gorgeous Saturday morning, the La Quinta Rotary Club hosted its first community Garage Sale in the parking lot in front of Lumpy’s on Washington Street.  The wind, the rain and the community all cooperated for a great event.  People came out early to get a first peek at the wonderful array of lightly used goods on display.  Offers and counter-offers were taking place up and down the line of would-be sellers.  And there were plenty of buyers.

In true La Quinta Rotary fashion, our famous Hot Dogs were available at our Rotary booth which utilized our new Rotary sunshade.  While the dogs were OK (the only food service available), they were not up to our usual excellent standards.  Being the only food vendor at the event, we did have a captive audience.  The next time we do this, coffee and donuts might go well since the shoppers come early.

Well done to all of the Rotarians and spouses who participated.  Special kudos go to the sales team of Cathcart (Bruce and Lora) and Archer (David and Lori).  Honorable mention goes to the food service team of Bill Cosgrove and Dan Fissori.
